Second Blogspot now Main Blog

Hi, I just wanted to let anyone who is kind enough to visit this blogspot, know that I have another blogspot that I now use. After finding that somebody else had a blog with the 'Serene Designs' title, I decided to open a new blogspot that will hopefully be my very own permanently. This is the link http://serene-designs-arts-crafts.blogspot.com Any comments are always welcome at either site and hopefully I will be posting lots of my creations soon. There are not enough hours in our days! As I am only very new to Blogging I havent attempted to delete the serene designs blog just in case it creates problems for me later. My First Magnolia-licious Card Challenge and Bizzy Becs Embellishments and Bling Challenge too

Finally.... I have my very first card completed for both the Magnolia-licious Highlites May DT Sketch Challenge and Bizzy Becs 'Embellishments and Bling' Competition. There are so many gorgeous cards already created by both the design teams and other followers. They are really all so inspiring.

I love all the Magnolia Stamp Designs and Tilda is one of my favourites so I had to choose Princess Tilda. I stamped onto red velvet paper for both the dress and shoes. I used a white Petaloo Glitter sheet for the gloves, petticoat and socks. I added pearls, rhinestones, red and gold kindy glitz to embellish the tiara, dress, shoes and flower centres. The yellow bows were made from sticker outlines that I cut and beneath them are some border rub-ons from American Crafts accents. The ribbon is from Autumn Leaves Cute World by Mindy Terasawa.

I made this Captain Underpants card especially for my nephews birthday last year. I didnt use any stamps just my pencil, eraser and guess work. It is unique! I'm hoping to get some cards made during the week using stamps I have here. Have a Great Week. :-) Maria
